Join us for our wonderful season of open-air theatre in the beautiful surroundings of the Hospital of St Cross — where timeless stories are played out & brought to life against a backdrop of historic buildings; set in our tranquil gardens, through long summer evenings.
So, gather your friends and family, bring a picnic, grab a beer from FFF Brewery pop up tent, pop open the fizz, and settle in for performances filled with humour, romance, and adventure. This is theatre at its most relaxed and atmospheric — unhurried, welcoming, and shared.

Plan Your Open Air Theatre Experience
- Open air theatre performances take place outdoors (as the name implies!) and we can’t guarantee what the lovely British weather will do, so come prepared with sun hats, rain jackets and everything in between!
- Seating at our open air theatre season is informal throughout, so blankets or camping chairs are recommended for a comfortable evening of enjoyment
- Picnics are warmly encouraged and can be pre-ordered from our charming tearooms
