Michaelmas Fair – Saturday 26th -10:30am – 4:30pm

Join us for our very exciting fun day here at The Hospital of St Cross !
The Michaelmas Fair is an annual event that is put together by the Hospital Charity to raise funds for the upkeep of our wonderful Heritage Site & Almshouse:
This year’s special line up welcomes new performances from a long standing historic re-enactment group ‘The Hounds of Morrigan’, who will show a range of domestic & battle displays including tournaments, with a good range of interactive elements for all ages; all spanning from The Battle of Hastings through to the War of the Roses. Alongside this will be our craft & artisan stalls, performances from the Rock Choir and a Medieval string quartet, delicious hot food vendors, a beer tent & a medieval cocktail bar. For more fun, come and play our large outdoor French style traditional games, or, enjoy the magic focus of Calligraphy & illustration workshops in the North Transept. Last but not least, for the textile lovers we are delighted to host a beautiful display of quilts in our Chapel. Admission is £4 on the door.
