The Hospital of St Cross is pleased to make its beautiful Norman church available for a number of weddings throughout the year. This is by permission of the Master and Trustees and by agreement with the Brothers who live in the almshouse. Marriages are conducted in the Church by the Priest in Charge, the Revd. Paul Kennedy, to whom any interested couple should apply.
It is a good idea to see around the Hospital first as a normal visitor. It is possible to have a preliminary tour of the facilities with a wedding in mind by making an appointment with the Deputy Clerk.
Receptions are welcome at St Cross. This can be a drinks reception in the Master’s Garden, perhaps before going on to eat elsewhere, or a marquee on the Bowling Green for the whole event.
Please see Getting Married in the Church of St Cross to see who may get married here, and what the charges are.
Please contact the Deputy Clerk to ask about possibilities and prices.
